Match Report

Llangeinor 2 - 0 Ammanford

Sat 30th Aug 2008

A much better display by Llan in their second home game of the season. Ammanford were rocked in the 20th minute with a dismissal when the defender was adjudged to have prevented a goalscoring chance. A good move resulted from the free kick and Ryan Blanche was on hand to score his 3rd goal of the season, his first from open play. On 35 inutes Llan doubled their lead when Anthony 'Elvis' Elwood got on the scoresheet.

H.T. 2 - 0

In the second half Llangeinor were in control, and looked to play football. They were rarely threatened by the visitors and ran out comfortable winners. A pleasing performance for manager Neil Foulkes while he was away on holidays. Llan were pleased to see Craig Hopkins returning after a 2 match ban, and for the Maesteg game Damian Roberts will also be available. The only down side for Llan is a niggling ankle injury to midfield ace Craig Davies, which may keep him out of the side.
